I’m really enjoying all these Black Rock Art Pieces in that sexy new little Hayes Green / Patricia’s Green park in Hayes Valley.

Now that’s art. Is there some reason why these can’t be made permanent? So much public art seems uninspired, dull, and even offensively crummy.

I agree. I have no idea what the logistics are behind these temporary art projects, or even if the artist would want to make them permanent. I think it’s kind of neat that after they make their debut at Burning Man they later show up in SF or at Coachella or other events.
